Day 3-Mittwoch

To-day Frau Jung’s timetable was:

The circle time this morning was going over a task that they had to do for their Physics learning. Then pupils had to carry out their Science experiment, which was to test out different materials to see if electric current was passed through.

My next visit was to Klasse-2a. Pupils were aged 7 years old. Their class name was Die “Eichhörnchen”(the squirrels). They were learning clothes vocabulary.

At break time pupils have different flavoured milk!

If pupils have done well in the lesson, they have a clothes peg with a number on which is attached to a sign. Ermahnung means a warning if you are not doing so well and I am afraid Auszeit is if you have been sent out of the class!

We sung a song I used to sing when I was at school “Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?”. Pupils asked me lots of questions about what I liked doing, what were my hobbies and which foods I liked to eat.

Frau Jung’s class and Frau Helms’s class watched a presentation I had made about Fairlands Middle school and asked lots of questions. We also talked about the floods in England, which as you will know are affecting Somerset, our county at the moment.
